A day after the suicide attack in Lahore, which claimed at least 13 lives, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Monday the war on terror will be taken to its logical end.
The premier, while chairing a law and order meeting in Lahore, said the country will not stumble in this struggle due to such terror attacks. "Our enemies will be defeated by our national resolve," he added.
The prime minister termed wiping out terrorism a national duty, saying neither him nor the nation will forget the sacrifices of valiant police officers and officials. "This is a war of right and wrong and we as a nation are on the right side of history," he remarked.

"We will soon see the end of this cancerous terrorism and it's ideology. Swift, ruthless and successful response is the only option for us."
Earlier, the PM was briefed by Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Rai Tahir about the progress made to nab the culprits behind the Lahore attack.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, among others attended the meeting.
