Jessup law moot: ‘Students must have sense of responsibility’
Teams from the top law schools in Pakistan competed in the Jessup law moot
ISLAMABAD:
Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (retired) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has urged law students to discharge their duties with a sense of responsibility.
Addressing the concluding session of a three-day court competition, sponsored by the US Embassy's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development Assistance and Training (OPDAT), Justice (retd) Jillani said young lawyers must strive to make the world a global village by connecting people.
Ten teams from the top law schools in Pakistan competed in the Jessup law moot court competition-Pakistan, a statement said. Law students from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) won the competition while students from University College Lahore were the runners-up. Both the winner and runner-up of the national competition would travel to Washington, DC to compete in the international rounds from April 9-15.
