LHC seeks reply from govt over doctors' strike

The Lahore High Court sought a reply from the Punjab government on Monday over the strike of Young Doctors' Association in the province.

The court issued notices to the Punjab Health Secratary and Young Doctors' Association on a petition which urged the LHC to take note of the matter.

The petitioner maintained that the patients were suffering in the public hospitals of Punjab due to a tussle between the government and doctors.

The LHC accepted the petition after initial hearing and issued notices to the respondents.

The Association is observing a strike to demand their regularisation and raise in payscale for the last two weeks.
