PESHAWAR: A 12-year-old boy holding a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issued a computerised national identity card (CNIC) from Mardan was caught by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday while trying to fly to Dubai from Peshawar Airport.

The FIA confiscated the documents Akhtar Ali was carrying after immigration officials checked the flight schedules for Peshawar to Dubai.

An initial probe into the documents revealed that Akhtar Ali obtained a computerised national identity card (CNIC) with the connivance of NADRA officials of Mardan.

The arrested boy got a passport made on the fake CNIC and was trying to fly to Dubai in search of a reasonable employment opportunity.

The boy has been moved to the passport cell for further interrogation.
