WhatsApp has finally rolled out two-factor verification in the latest update for its popular messaging platform to keep hackers at bay.

The two-factor authentication is an optional security measure that would require a pre-assigned six digit passcode to verify a user’s phone number on WhatsApp.
To enable the two-step verification, users simply need to open the app and go to the Settings menu and navigate to Account and where they can enable the security feature. Once activate the app would require users to provide an email and a six digit passcode.
WhatsApp is the world’s largest messaging platform with over 1.2 billion active users. Last year in April, the popular messaging platform introduced full end-to-end encryption including group chats, making sure that all messages are accessible only by the sender and recipient.
After enabling end-to-end encryption, even WhatsApp don't have any capability to read customers’ messages even if approached by law enforcement agencies.
