E-12 compensation: Parliamentarians urge CDA to resolve issue in two weeks
Committee directed the CDA to arrange dialogue of affected people with local representatives for an amicable solution
ISLAMABAD:
Parliamentarians urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to come up with a formula for compensation of affected people and possession of land in Sector E-12 within two weeks.
The parliamentarians also chided the authority for the long delay in taking land possession for Sector E-12. The NA Standing Committee on Government Assurances met on Wednesday under chair of Abdul Majeed Khanankhail. The committee also directed the CDA to arrange dialogue of affected people with local representatives for an amicable solution.
Deputy Mayor Zeeshan Naqvi said IMC representatives held four meetings with the affected persons of E-12 and five committees had been constituted with one member from every family included in them. He said that majority of locals were ready to hand over possession to CDA and suggested that the civic agency avoid involving outsiders.
