It runs in the family: Breakhna Zarnab And Zarmeena Qazi

The creative sisters behind BZ Productions, a Karachi-based event management and choreography company, Breakhna Zarnab and Zarmeena Qazi, talk about their bond. From getting punished for their grades as children, to going on adventures as adults — these sisters certainly are two peas in a pod.



What is your first memory of each other?

Breakhna: Playing together in a small toy room that our mother had made for us.

Zarmeena: Going to school together.

What is the craziest thing you have done together?

Breakhna: Oh god, there’s lots — I can’t think of one in particular.

Zarmeena: We’ve been through some intense adventures together, crazy to the extent where I can’t speak of them.



What did you get punished for the most as a child?

Breakhna: My grades! I can’t think of anything else, I was a good kid otherwise.

Zarmeena: Grades, school, studies!

If you could only wear one piece of clothing for the rest of your life, from the others closet, what would it be?

Breakhna: Her shoes.

Zarmeena: Her big, cosy pyjamas.



If you could swap places with each other, what’s the first thing you would do?

Breakhna: Start waking up early.

Zarmeena: Take a break.

What is the one thing you love about your sister?

Breakhna: Her bubbly nature and her habit of keeping everyone together.

Zarmeena: I love that she is just herself.



If you are fighting with each other, how do you make up?

Breakhna: We spend some time alone and eventually end up apologising.

Zarmeena: We talk it out. We accept our mistakes and apologise.



What is the one secret talent your sister has, that you wish you had too?

Breakhna: She can beat up anyone she wants and when I say anyone, I mean anyone!

Zarmeena: She is very responsible and smart.



Describe your sister in three words:

Breakhna: Emotional, gutsy and hilarious.

Zarmeena: Scary, intelligent and a doll.

Which fictional character is your sister most like?

Breakhna: Woody Woodpecker.

Zarmeena: Wonder Woman.



How are your personalities similar?

Breakhna: We surround ourselves with positivity all the time.

Zarmeena: We are both very loving.



I can’t live without my sister because…

Breakhna: She is the only one who can read my mind.

Zarmeena: I just can’t!
