First woman pilot in Dubai royal family takes flight

Shaikha Mozah al Maktoum has become the first woman pilot in the Dubai’s ruling family who recently drew admiration after her assisted flight as a commercial pilot for Emirates.



The news was shared by a member of the royal family, Shaikha Latifa, who posted a photograph of her cousin Shaikha Mozah on Instagram along with the caption: “Mozah Marwan. My sister’s daughter. The first female pilot in the family, who is on her first assisted flight as a commercial pilot for Emirates. As long as you can dream it, you can achieve it.”



Following the Instagram message shared by Latifa, other family member also commended Mozahon social media. Shaikha Maitha Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid al Maktoum wrote: “So proud of you cousin.”

Mozah Al Maktoum passed her skills test for the commercial pilot licence in April 2016.





She has been sharing striking photographs from the flight’s deck on her Instagram account.
