One-minute silence observed across Pakistan on Kashmir Solidarity Day
Nation pledges to seek solution to Kashmir issue according to UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people

A one-minute silence was observed across Pakistan on Sunday as nation observed Kashmir Solidarity Day to pay tribute to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their struggle against the decades-long Indian occupation in the disputed region.
Mass rallies, symposia, peace walks conventions and meetings are being held across the country to draw world attention towards the plight of the oppressed Kashmiri people, according to Radio Pakistan.
Indian forces kill two in Sopore
Members of the National Assembly’s Kashmir Committee will visit office of the United Nations in Islamabad to present a memorandum calling on India to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
People will form chains by holding hands at locations that connect Kashmir and Pakistan, such as Azadpatan and Mangla bridges on the special day. The main event of the day in Muzaffarabad will be the joint session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly and Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council. Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan will lead a public rally which will be taken out from Chatter area.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people belonging to different segments of society formed a human chain at the Kohala bridge which links Muzaffarabad with Rawalpindi. In Muzaffarabad, students from different school also held a rally to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
