Rs1.4b project: Wah hospital construction 67% complete

The hospital will be one of the largest hospitals in the Rawalpindi division once complete

ISLAMABAD:
More than half of the general hospital at Wah has been constructed, officials told Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Friday.

Nisar, while visiting the under-construction 500-bed hospital, directed the concerned authorities to complete the project by July this year.

The hospital, to be completed at an estimated cost of more than Rs1.4 billion, will be one of the largest hospitals in the Rawalpindi division once complete.


The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah had provided around 96 kanal of land free of cost for the establishment of the hospital.

The minister was briefed that around 65 per cent non-residential work on the hospital had been completed while cumulative progress on residential section of the hospital currently stands at 80 per cent. The overall progress of the project is 67 per cent.
