Royal steed: Nawaz gifts horse to Qatari ruler

Minister of State for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb termed the news as ‘baseless’.

ISLAMABAD:  

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sent a horse as a gift to the Emir of Qatar through a special C-130 aircraft. The Foreign Office had asked for permission from the authorities concerned to use the C-130 aircraft for the purpose.

The aircraft was supposed to transport the horse to Qatar on January 28 and return the next day. But the schedule was suddenly changed and the horse was transported on Wednesday along with a 13-member team.

Minister of State for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb, in a statement, termed the news as ‘baseless’. The minister termed it a concocted story and strongly denied the news item.
