Killed and dumped: 13-year-old boy found dead in Rawat
Boy was shot from close range with wounds visible in the skull and upper torso
RAWALPINDI:
A body was found dumped near the post office at the Chakri Road area in Rawat.
A passer-by spotted the body of a boy and informed the police who shifted it to District Head Quarters Hospital Rawalpindi for medico-legal formalities.
According to hospital sources, the deceased was identified as Abu Sufiyan a 13-year-old boy from Sialkot.
He was shot from close range with wounds visible in the skull and upper torso, a police official said.
The victim was apparently killed somewhere else and then the body was hauled and dumped near the post officer where it was seen and recovered, he said.
The body has been kept in the morgue as authorities were waiting for the heirs.
In the meantime, police have booked a case against unidentified people and started investigations.
