Un dialogue : ‘Address root causes of conflict’

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has called for addressing the root causes of conflict as well as the decades-old international disputes to bring about sustainable peace in this troubled world. Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi told the UN General Assembly on Tuesday while speaking in a high-level dialogue on ‘Building sustainable peace for all: synergies between the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and sustaining peace’. Sustainable peace is a daunting challenge that cannot be met unless the underlying causes of conflict are addressed.
