Government intervention: ‘Measures taken to promote tourism’

GILGIT: Minister for Tourism Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Fida Khan Fida on Tuesday said that the government was taking steps to take advantage of the tourism potential of G-B. Fida added that the past regimes did not pay due attention to this sector, however, the present government is giving it priority by initiating projects to promote tourism in the region. Rapid progress is being made with regard to tourism owing to the goal-oriented policies of the government in an attempt to attract tourists, Fida remarked.
