Apple rolls out its latest version of iOS operating software to protect users against a wide range of security risks

Apple has just rolled out its latest version of iOS operating software. And although the company often updates its OS with minor changes, the latest update maybe more pressing.

While most updates involves patches for bugs in the operating software, the iOS 10.2.1 by Apple includes major security upgrades that protects users against a wide range of potentially devastating security risks.

Apple released a detailed list of over a dozen security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the latest OS which include major upgrade’s for Safari and App Store.

In addition to this, the update also features two patches for glitches that allowed malicious applications to execute arbitrary codes with kernel privileges which could potentially let hackers take complete control of the device.

Devices that can benefit for the latest update include all models of the Apple Watch, iPhone models that upwards of and including the iPhone 5 and fourth-generation iPads and newer.

The software update also includes a fix that Apple developed in response to wildly different battery lives seen on the latest MacBook Pro laptops.

To update their phones users simply need open setting and navigate to general and software.
