KARACHI:
Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Standing Committee on Trade and Industry Chairman and former vice president Riaz Khattak has urged financial managers of the country to announce relief measures for the common man as well as sick industrial units in the upcoming budget, particularly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Talking to a group of industrialists, Khattak said the piling up of foreign exchange reserves would be of no advantage if the common man’s problems remain unattended. He said the government must ensure availability of low-cost pesticides, fertiliser and other agricultural inputs by reducing taxes and subsidising the inputs including provision of free electricity to the agriculture community.
