Recognition: Roots awards its high achievers

Roots distributes awards among 125 high achievers from Rawalpindi for the academic year 2009-10.

Roots School System distributed awards among 125 high achievers from Rawalpindi for the academic year 2009-10, said a press release.

The awards ceremony at Pakistan National Council of the Arts was aesthetically choreographed and proud parents enjoyed their children’s performances.

The delivery of literary skills in the form of Shikwa and Jawab-e-Shikwa and thoughts of the youth by Maham Faheem, a student of 2nd Year, were heart rendering. Parents especially enjoyed the gymnastics and aerobics performances.

When the time to hand out the awards came, 12 students won the all-rounder pupil award. Ten students won the co-curricular awards. The sub-categories were best qirat, best naatkhwan, best in

elocution, best debater,
best compere, best in aerobics, best gymnast, best singer, best soccer player
and best at judo.

The performers’ awards were distributed in five categories: gymnastic, aerobics, national song, play performance (Macbeth) and rhythm of unity. These awards were based on the live performances of young Rootsians.

In the Alumni Brilliance category, four former students won awards for excelling in their professional lives.
