Unusual Suspects: Cab-snatching couple among 13 held

13 suspects including a taxi-snatching couple and three car thieves and recovered stolen cars were found by police

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 13 suspects including a taxi-snatching couple and three car thieves and recovered stolen cars, valuables and narcotics from their possession, police said. According to a statement, Sihala police arrested a gang of three car lifters and recovered three vehicles. Meanwhile, Bani Gala police nabbed Mukarram and Sobia who had snatched a taxi from Israr Ahmed after hiring it for Bhara Kau. Anti-car Lifting Cell of Islamabad police recovered a stolen car from Asghar. Aabpara police, responding to a call from Rescue 15, caught Qasim and Imran for robbing cash and cell phone from Noreen Akhtar. Tarnol police arrested Yaseen and Hadeeqa for possessing a total of 225 grammes of heroin. Three other men were held in separate cases of illegal gun possession.
