ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan said on Saturday that the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOC) made history through their longstanding struggle for independence.

He made these remarks while addressing a conference on the Kashmir issue titled “Challenges and way forward”, according to a press release issued on Saturday.

Khan said that the Kashmiris would succeed in their cause due to their unwavering determination.

The AJK president said that Pakistan would continue their diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

“Owing to the successful policies of Pakistan, the Kashmir issue is part of the UN Security Council’s agenda which can be discussed there through a letter or phone call,” he added.

Khan further added that 700,000 Indian armymen were in IOK to suppress Kashmiris’ voice for independence.

He also said that India felt great pressure after the last speech of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the UN Security Council.

Khan said that Kashmir was a test case for the world’s conscience because come what may, the people of Kashmir were committed not to give up their struggle for independence.
