Negligence: Nine cops sacked in Jhelum

Penalties of two years service deduction were given to ASI Zia Mahmood and Head Constable Abdul Rauf

JHELUM: Nine policemen were terminated from service for gross negligence, senior officials of the department said on Thursday.

Ten other officials face punishments like stopping of pay and deduction of years in service.

District Police Officer Hasan Assad Alvi held an orderly room meeting in which policemen Khurram Shahza, Walid Haider Nadeen Safdar, Adil Mahmood, Owais Ali, Waseem Shaukat, Babar Khan, Umer Naseer and Naeem Asghar were handed termination orders for gross negligence of duty.

Moreover, penalties of two years service deduction were given to ASI Zia Mahmood and Head Constable Abdul Rauf.

ASI Gulzar Ahmed and Constable Mohammad Hasan were censured, while Constable Musharraf Zaman was given deduction in pay as punishment.

Constables Adeel Mushtaq, Adeel Ahmed, Asjad Mahmood, Khurram Shahzad and Ghulam Ahmed were fined as punishment for negligence in discharge of duties.
