SHC adjourns bail plea of NICL audit officer
Accused maintains that he was booked in a false FIR as he was asked to delay a report to be submitted before the SC.
KARACHI:
The hearing of a bail plea of Shehzad Ali Khan, an audit officer of the NICL, was adjourned indefinitely on Monday by a division bench of the High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Muhammad Athar Saeed and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan. He was accused of threatening a co-worker, a driver at NICL.
When the bail plea came up for hearing, the Deputy Attorney-General, appearing for the federal government, sought time. The bench allowed the request and adjourned the proceedings for a date to be fixed later by the office of the court.
The accused maintains that he was booked in a false FIR as he was asked to delay a report to be submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan. By refusing to obey such illegal orders, he was implicated in a fake case.
