Mutual Interests Discussed: UK, EU parliamentarians meet Nisar

Britain is one of the few countries where the Pakistani viewpoint was heard and understood

ISLAMABAD: A three-member delegation of British and EU parliamentarians called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday. They discussed matters of mutual interest and the issue of Kashmir. The European delegation included Lord Nazir Ahmed, Lord Qurban Hussain and European Parliament member Afzal Khan. The interior minister said it was appreciable that issues related to the Islamic world and Kashmir were raised in the British Parliament. He said Pakistan gave countless sacrifices for safeguarding regional and world peace but still certain elements were criticising Pakistan. Nisar said Britain was one of the few countries where the Pakistani viewpoint was heard and understood.
