Food innovations: ‘Technology vital for agricultural growth’  

He added there was a need improve the quality of higher education and learning innovations in agriculture

FAISALABAD: The National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) Chairperson Dr Ehsan Tasneem stressed upon the need to develop technology for overcoming contamination in food and milk at all levels.

He was speaking at the meeting of University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s Endowment Fund on Tuesday. He urged the scientists to make all out efforts to address the problems of the people.

The NAEAC chief said, “Modernisation of agriculture production systems and supply chain yielding high value agriculture products is fundamental for accelerated agriculture growth and food security.

He added there was a need improve the quality of higher education and learning innovations in agriculture. He maintained agriculture was the backbone of our economy that was contributing 21% to the gross domestic product.
