In red zones: Two-month ban on public gatherings
Ban has been imposed under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code

The Sindh government imposed on Tuesday a ban on rallies and demonstrations in the ‘red zone’ areas of the city for two months due to security threats. According to a notification issued by the Sindh home department, the ban has been imposed under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The places that fall under the red zone in Karachi are Governor House, Chief Minister House, Sindh Assembly, Sindh Secretariat and Bilawal House. A home department section officer said that more than five persons will not be allowed to assemble in front of these places.
