Forced prostitution: Three arrested for allegedly detaining woman, child

Victim claims two women forced her into prostitution, while one man operated as a pimp

ISLAMABAD: Police on Tuesday arrested two women and a man who had allegedly detained a woman and forced her into prostitution. They had also allegedly detained her 13-year-old daughter.

The victim* told police that Kausar Bibi, Tania and a man identified as Muhammad Ashfaq alias Baoo, had detained her in a rented house in the Mera Jaffer area in Sector G-12. She said that the two women forced her into prostitution, while Ashfaq acted as a pimp.

The complainant, a resident of Lahore, said that the suspects had also confined her 13-year-old daughter.

She finally managed to escape on December 22 and lodged a complaint with the Ramna police. The police said they had arrested the three suspects and a magistrate had sent them to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
