Memorial ceremonies being held for Benazir Bhutto

PPP faction led by Naheed Khan and Safdar Abbasi will gather at the memorial site at 10:30am on Tuesday

RAWALPINDI: Local leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have arranged three different ceremonies in memoriam of Benazir Bhutto outside Liaqat Bagh, where she was assassinated nine years ago on December 27.

A PPP group led by city president Babar Jadoon held a memorial service outside Liaqat Bagh at 5pm on Monday. About 100 PPP workers recited prayers and lit candles.

In another ceremony, a PPP faction led by Naheed Khan and Safdar Abbasi will gather at the memorial site at 10:30am on Tuesday.

Another local faction of the PPP led by Malik Amir Fida Paracha will hold their ceremony in memoriam of Benazir Bhutto outside Liaqat Bagh at 1:00pm on Tuesday.
