Chaudhry Nisar can’t divert attention from Panama: Chandio
Chandio felt criticism was considered inappropriate and out of context by Nisar
KARACHI:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and ministers were on Tuesday up in arms against federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar who criticised the Sindh government and party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Chaudhry said, "PPP's campaign against corruption is incomprehensible".
"They are working against corruption the same way the same way the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in India is talking about the rights of Muslims," said Nisar, criticising Bilawal's remarks against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) government.
Reacting to Nisar's statement, Bilawal referred to him as the 'inferior' minister on his Twitter account. "I'm not the one wearing a wig... the inferior minister must keep his fantasies to himself and focus on our four demands," said Bilawal, chanting the slogan, 'go Nawaz go'.
"Nisar's criticism of PPP chairperson Bilawal was inappropriate and out of context," said the Sindh chief minister's adviser on information Maula Bux Chandio.
"In fact, the federal minister was in a great hurry to divert the attention of the masses away from the questions he is unable to answer and he is applying tricks to shift the focus of the country-wide criticism on his stances," he alleged.
The PPP, under the dynamic leadership of young Bilawal, has emerged as the only opposition party that is holding the federal government and the federal interior minister accountable for their misleading and damaging stances, which the country cannot afford, said the adviser.
"No matter what Nisar is doing, he can't help the accused in the Panamagate scandal to hide or escape," Chandio warned, adding that it is now fully established that the PML-N is afraid of Bilawal as real opposition.
"His days are numbered," said another PPP minister Manzoor Wasan who is known as the man whose dreams predicted that Nisar will no longer retain control of his ministry by the end of 2017.
"I want to give you news pertaining to the PML-N's government. It cannot continue till 2018," said Wasan.
Bilawal House reacts
The Bilawal House spokesperson accused Nisar of adopting the role of a 'Brahman' in Pakistani politics.
"Two laws in one country are accepted in a Brahman rule and Nisar and the people behind him are trying to impose two separate laws for themselves and the PPP leadership," the spokesperson stated.
Nisar is unsuccessfully trying to pose as if he is the only human on earth with angelic qualities but even his own friends describe him as 'chori Nisar' for a reason," he said.
