LAHORE: A traffic warden helped a girl to find his family on Sunday. Nadeem, a warden deputed in Lorry Adda, was on his duty when he saw a girl standing at a roadside who was crying. He went to her and inquired about the matter. On inquiry, he found out that the victim identified as Saima was a resident of Rawalpindi and was working as a maid in a house. She ran away from the house due to owner’s torture. The victim travelled in a bus all the way from Rawalpindi and reached Lahore without informing anyone. Saima said she wanted to go home. The warden informed his officers who handed the victim over to Women police station. DIG Traffic Syed Ahmad Mubeen appreciated Nadeem’s efforts and announced commendatory certificate and cash prize for him.
