KARACHI: The bomb disposal squad's (BDS) experts inspected on Saturday the Sindh Secretariat building following threats of a possible bombing at the building.

A large contingent of law enforcement officers, along with multiple teams of BDS experts, reached the Sindh Secretariat building Saturday afternoon at around 2pm and cordoned off the building.

At least six teams of the BDS participated in the search operation. The BDS experts then searched the entire building and left after a search of nearly two hours. "There was a terrorist threat alert at the building on Friday but we were unable to conduct our exercise in order to avoid panic among the employees," said a BDS expert who participated in the sweeping operation. "Therefore, the search was conducted on Saturday as the offices were closed," the expert added. Aram Bagh police SHO Asif Rauf said that no recovery related to terrorism was made.
