Sindh IG Allah Dino Khawaja inaugurated the one-window facility at the driving licence branch in Clifton neighbourhood and also renewed his driving licence and paid a fee. Additional traffic IG Khadim Hussain Bhatti and other senior police officials and representatives of Citizens-Police Liaison Committee, business community and civil society were also present on the occasion.

Driving Licence Branch DIG Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh told the media that this 'state-of-the-art' technology will help eradicate the fake licences and the network of 'agent mafia'. "This will help people get through the licence-obtaining process hassle free in a short time," he said.
He said that Pakistanis living in rural parts of the country as well abroad will be able to benefit from this service, especially through its features of verifying the licence and applying for a new one through the online complaint portal in the smart phone application. "The learning licence process will take five minutes, verification will take 15 to 20 minutes and the obtaining of a new [form] will take 40 minutes," he added.
