LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against corruption resulting in transparency in government affairs and improvement in service delivery besides improving the country’s image internationally. In a handout issued on Sunday, the CM said the economic situation of the country has substantially improved during the tenure of the current government. “Solid efforts made for the eradication of corruption are being appreciated on a global level,” he stated. He added that billions of rupees were saved on development projects for the first time in the history of the country. “Ensuring transparency at every level is among the top priorities for the PML-N government,” he said. Shahbaz said no one could raise a finger on the transparency ensured by the PML-N government in development projects, as Rs112 billion alone were saved by ensuring transparency in three gas-based power plants.
