ISLAMABAD: Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui on Thursday recused himself from hearing the case on providing a bulletproof car to a former chief justice.

On December 2, Justice Siddiqui directed the petitioners to produce the car provided to former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry before the IHC as case property by December 8.

But petitioners Ahsanuddin Sheikh and Taufiq Asif challenged the bench’s direction and obtained a stay order.

On Thursday, when asked the car, the petitioners said that as the order was suspended, the car was not produced.

Subsequently, Justice Siddiqui recused himself from hearing the case.
