Rabiul awwal arrangements: ‘Proper security to be ensured’

KARACHI: Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah has directed the police department to ensure proper security during the holy month of Rabiul Awwal. Shah directed Sindh IG Allah Dino Khawaja to provide necessary security to the processions and programmes of Rabiul Awwal in the city and other districts of the province. He was presiding over a meeting at CM House on Tuesday. He also directed chief secretary Rizwan Memon to issue necessary instructions to the local bodies to make special arrangements of cleanliness, particularly from the route of the procession. He further directed the Karachi water board to keep the sewerage system in the city functional and clear. The CM announced that during the month of Rabiul Awwal, he will organise the Seerat Conference at the CM House, in which religious scholars will be invited.
