Abductions: Man arrested for kidnapping teenage girl

Police said HP was a maintenance worker in an apartment building and had enticed away the girl

ISLAMABAD: The Ramna police have arrested a man who allegedly enticed and kidnapped a 17-year-old girl in Sector G-11/2. On Saturday, the police had booked HP* and U* for allegedly kidnapping the girl. On Sunday, police told The Express Tribune that they had recovered the girl and arrested HP.

Police said HP was a maintenance worker in an apartment building and had enticed away the girl*. A police officer said U*, who had facilitated the suspect, was still at large. The officer also said that they will take the girl to Pims for a medical examination.

Meanwhile, the Aabpara police have booked three men for allegedly kidnapping a 16-year-old girl from the Sunday bazaar in G-6. The suspects were identified as Ibrahim, Noor Wali, and Abdur Rab. They were booked by the Aabpara police on the complaint of the girl’s father*.

The girl was allegedly kidnapped while she was shopping in the Sunday bazaar on November 27, but the case was only registered on December 3. A police official told The Express Tribune that the suspects are related to the victim’s mother. He said the suspects allegedly had asked for the girl’s hand, which her family refused.
