Health scare: Minister calls for anti-dengue plan 

The minister was informed that dengue patients were being reported from different areas of Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has directed the officials concerned to devise an effective plan to control dengue in 2017. He said this while addressing the cabinet committee meeting on dengue at Civil Secretariat on Monday. He said weaknesses should be removed in the next plan to counter the disease in an efficient manner. He also appreciated the efforts of the Rawalpindi DCO, government departments and medical professionals of Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and District Hospital Rawalpindi for overcoming dengue epidemic and providing best healthcare facilities to the patients. The minister was informed that dengue patients were being reported from different areas of Lahore.
