A man reportedly killed his daughter for serving food late.
Police said Parveen Bibi, who is a resident of Chak No 24-GB, filed a complaint with the Saddar Jaranwala police station, contending that her husband Abid Hussain tortured his daughter Allah Rakhi severely for taking a little long to serve food.

Later, he took her out and threw her into Gogera Branch Canal. The police arrested Abid Hussain, who confessed to his crime.
Earlier this year, a court sentenced a man to death for killing his 12-year-old daughter in 2015 for not being able to make perfect bread. The suspects confessed they had thrashed the girl, who died of her injuries. The men admitted they dumped the body and filed a false case of kidnapping.
