Expressing concerns: ‘Girls in Vehari yet to get scholarship funds’

VEHARI: Scholarships for the education of girls in Vehari are yet to be funded despite amounts being disbursed for the purpose.

This was stated by Vehari District Coordination Officer Ali Akbar Bhatti while he was addressing the district assessment committee for the development of education on Saturday.  He said scholarship funds worth Rs46.8 million for two months have not been given. Therefore, he ordered the official concerned to look into the issue and give him a report.

Moreover, he also sought an inquiry report over the minimum attendance of students and teachers at government-run schools. He also ordered the sanitation system of 11 educational institutes be improved.
