
Entertainment industry A-listers, fashionistas, ambassadors accredited to the United Nations and prominent community members were among those who scorched the festival red carpet at the UN headquarters in the city.
The two-day event commenced on Friday night with celebrities including Saba Qamar, Yasir Hussain, Sheheryar Munawar, Wajahat Rauf, Sanam Saeed, Mahira Khan, Mawra Hocane, Tooba Siddiqui, Adeel Hussain, Sanam Saeed, Frieha Altaf and Mehreen Jabbar slaying the style game.

The festival is the brainchild of Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi who took the initiative to project the nation's soft power.

“We are bringing some of Pakistan’s movies to New York so that diplomats from 193 countries at the UN also have an opportunity to see what the country’s entertainment industry is producing,” Lodhi told The Express Tribune.
Top Pakistani movies including Dobara Phir Se, Lahore Se Aagay, Actor in Law, Mahe e Meer, 3 Bahadur, Dukhtar, Dance Kahani and Ho Mann Jahan will be screened over the festival.
