What’s the plan? Bilawal flays PML-N’s ‘failed’ National Action Plan

Says interior minister is reluctant to take action against terrorists

LAHORE:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reiterated that the National Action Plan (NAP) has failed miserably.

He claimed Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is reluctant to take action against the real terrorists.

Addressing PPP workers from Southern Punjab during PPP’s 49th Foundation Day Celebrations at Bilawal House on Friday, Bilawal called the NAP ‘N-League’s Action Plan’. He pointed out that an all parties’ conference (APC), PML-N agreed to form a parliamentary committee on national security, but the ruling party has yet to make that materialise.

He said terrorists were killing innocent civilians and young students, such as the martyrs of the Army Public School, but the government lacked the courage to take action. He said the reason for the inaction was PML-N’s refusal to face across the board accountability.

Bilawal said he was irritated with the flawed government policies. “If the government does not accept the demands for democratic accountability by December 27, I will be compelled to raise the ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan.”

He said the government was ignoring the rights of small provinces in mega projects like the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The PPP chairman said he appreciated the PML-N’s public transport initiatives, but the people of Pakistan needed bread, clean drinking water, health facilities and shelter.
