Robbers crash wedding, make off with cash, gold

The looting takes around 20 minutes, while the police arrive at scene after nearly an hour.

KARACHI: Robbers made off with cash and gold ornaments worth millions of rupees in a brazen raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on Sunday night.

Six robbers broke into a wedding ceremony when the guests were leaving for home. They then herded the guests back to the hall on gunpoint after which took gold ornaments, cash, mobiles and other valuables from the guests as well as the bride and groom.

The looting incident took around 20 minutes, while the police arrived at the scene after nearly an hour and took waiters in custody for interrogations.
