Reckless driving: Four killed in road accident

The driver of the coach that hit the car managed to escape the scene, while the police have impounded the vehicle

SUKKUR: Four people were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Mehran National Highway near Thari Mir Wah in Khairpur district late Monday night.

Majid Ali, a resident of Wali Dad Lund village, was returning to his village with his friends in a car when a Karachi-bound passenger bus collided with the car.

As a result, all the four passengers of the car, including Majid, Asif Ali, Mehram and Abid, were killed on the spot while five passengers of the coach received minor injuries.

The Thari Mir Wah police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to a local hospital, where all the injured were sent home after having been provided with first-aid treatment.

The driver of the coach managed to escape the scene, while the police have impounded the vehicle.
