DG KHAN: A businessman was robbed of Rs1.2 million in brought day light on Monday.

DSP City Syed Azhar Gilani told The Express Tribune that two armed men riding a motorcycle with their faces covered intercepted the car of a cotton factory owner, Muhammad Younis Rind, and deprived him of Rs1.2 million at gunpoint.

He added, “The robbery took place when Younis was on his way to work after withdrawing money from a bank in an upscale locality near Eidgah Morr.”

While speaking to journalists, DSP Azhar said a search operation has been started to arrest the suspects.

“We have cordoned off entry and exit points of the city and have also formed special teams to arrest the culprits,” he said.

The DSP maintained, “A forensic team has also collected evidences from the spot that will help us arrest the robbers.”
