KARACHI: Education Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar took notice of appointments in the Sindh Text Book Board (STBB) without any test, interview or publication of advertisements and directed the STBB chairperson to submit a report in this regard within a week.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, Dahar assured that if any maladministration and malpractice is reported in the process of appointments, he will take strict action against those found involved.

Meanwhile, the minister also took notice of the delay in registration of the private colleges and higher secondary schools across the province. He directed education secretary for schools and colleges to remove all hurdles.

Dahar said that it had come to his notice that educational boards concerned had refused to accept the enrolment forms of such institutions and feared that it will cause a loss of an academic year to thousands of students.

Dahar assured the students and parents that the matter will be resolved on a priority basis and the academic year will not be disturbed.
