New CNG bus service launched in Lahore

Mehr said the new bus service would provide safe, economical and quality transport facilities

LAHORE:
A new air-conditioned CNG bus service was launched in Lahore on Monday to facilitate commuters coming from Thokar Niaz Baig to the General Bus Stand in Raiwind.

The bus service, launched in collaboration with a private transport operator Awais Travels, was inaugurated by Lahore Transport Company (LTC) Chairman Mehr Ishtiaq. Initially, the company will run 13 buses that will later be increased depending on the demand of commuters on the route.

200 buses for Lahore reach Karachi


The minimum fare of this bus service shall be Rs20 and maximum fare till the last stop will be Rs45. The urban route comprises 21 stops between Thokar Niaz Baig via Lahore University, Al Raza abad, LDA Avenue one, Bhobattian Chowk, Adda Plot, Amin Pura, Ali Chowk, Markaz till GBS Raiwind.

Mehr said the new bus service would provide safe, economical and quality transport facilities to the general public, adding the service was launched on the demand of people living in the areas.
