ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad on Thursday extended the judicial remand of three suspects allegedly involved in the Barrister Fahad Malik murder case till November 25.

ATC Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi heard the case registered at Islamabad Shalimar police station. The court observed that the challan of two accused including Nauman Khokhar and Raja Arshad had been submitted. However, a challan for the third suspect, Hashim Khan, has not been submitted yet. Copies of the challan were provided to accused in the court. Meanwhile, the main suspect, Raja Arshad, has filed another plea challenging the inclusion of sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) in the First Information Report (FIR).

The petitioner took the stance in his petition that ATA sections should not be added in the FIR as the incident was the result of a personal enmity.

He claimed the case did not come under ATA and prayed the court to shift it to a sessions court. The court would hear the plea in the next hearing.
