Land dispute: Man nabbed for murdering wife 

DPO Vehari appreciated the efforts of police team and announced cash prize of Rs5,000 for each member of team

MULTAN: Police has arrested a man from Vehari who killed his wife over ownership of land a week ago.

Vehari DPO Umar Saeed told The Express Tribune on Wednesday that Mushtaq, a resident of Chak 96, had gunned down his wife Ayesha, 40, after she refused to give her property documents which she inherited from her father.

He said a case 565/16 was registered at Mitroo police station under Sections 302 and 304 of the Pakistan Penal Code on November 2 against the suspect.

Meanwhile, Sub Inspector Mubashir Ali, who was investigating the case, said a police team raided a hideout on a tip off and arrested Mushtaq. He added during investigation, Mushtaq confessed of murdering his wife.

DPO Vehari appreciated the efforts of police team and announced cash prize of Rs5,000 for each member of team.
