Bilateral Ties With China: Firm to invest in Brown Line BRT

KARACHI: A Chinese company, Norinco International, has shown interest in the Brown Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) after a visit to its tracks on Tuesday. According to a press statement issued by Sindh’s transport department, director-general Asad Ullah Shah accompanied the Chinese delegation during the visit. The Brown Line is supposed to run from Karachi’s Anda Morr towards Nagan Chowrangi, Shafiq Morr all the way upto Sharae Faisal’s Drigh Road Station. The press statement stated that the Chinese company has proposed to invest in the Brown Line BRT and that they want to run 14,000 of the latest buses in the province.
