Iqbal day: Educational institutions to remain closed

Dr Moazzam Ali Khan also notified that the varsity will also remain closed today

KARACHI: All the educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed today (Wednesday), on account of Iqbal Day, announced Education Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar. Strict action will be taken against schools that disobey the order, said private schools director-general Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui. He also mentioned that according to the annual educational circular, the schools will remain off on the birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal. Karachi University (KU) registrar Dr Moazzam Ali Khan also notified that the varsity will also remain closed today. KU's admissions director, Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi, has notified that admission forms for doctor of pharmacy and test-based admissions in morning programmes will be available and can be submitted on November 9 at the university's admission counter.
