HYDERABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-London's leaders and supporters, who were arrested on October 23 from Hyderabad, will remain imprisoned on judicial remand till November 25 after the Anti-Terrorism Court (ACT) put off the hearing on Monday.

MQM-London Rabita Committee members Momin Khan Momin, Intikhab Alam, Raheel Qureshi and two others were sent to jail on October 24 in an FIR accusing them of possessing explosive material and weapons.

The Hali Road police submitted on Monday the charge-sheet. The incharge of the newly constituted 11-member Hyderabad zonal committee Zafar Rajput, former MQM Hyderabad zone incharge Shareef Khan and Amir Iqbal were shown as absconders. The ATC issued non-bailable warrants for the leaders. The crackdown began following successive meetings of the MQM-London faction in Hyderabad, during which a zonal committee was also formed. Earlier, the Hali Road police lodged another FIR against the same persons for allegedly shouting slogans against Pakistan.
