KARACHI: Three centuries and five half-centuries were on show in the drawn day-night Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match between Lahore Blues and Peshawar at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.

Peshawar resumed their innings on 344-7 and were able to add 36 runs before losing their remaining wickets on 380.

Jamaluddin made 104 runs off 130 balls, while Sahabzada Farhan contributed with an 85-ball 93 and Akbar Badshah scored 84 runs for Peshawar.

Bilawal Iqbal was Lahore Blues’ top wicket-taker with three scalps.

The Lahore outfit, leading by 153 runs courtesy their 533 first innings total, were on 170-3 at the end of play with Muhammad Ikhlaq (46 off 91 balls) and Saad Nasim (46 off 49 balls) on the crease.

Irfan puts WAPDA in control

After the fifth round of the tournament, WAPDA are leading Pool A with five wins out of as many matches amassing 46 points.
